Design & Make opinions?

I recently came across Design & Make and I see that they have a good range of designs that I might be interested in. With that said, how good are they? My friend had some bad experience with MakeCNC and I'd like to avoid that kind of experience.

I've heard similar things about some of the older design sites, where the files can be a bit messy with double lines or weird scaling. It's a pain to have to clean up a file before you can even cut it. It was a completely different experience with Design & Make for me, though! Their files are created specifically for laser cutting and are generally very clean and well-structured. They're designed to be used right out of the box, with clear instructions on kerf and material thickness. I've purchased several of their files for puzzles and decorative items, and they've always been a smooth process. You can tell they put a lot of work into making sure the files are not just a nice picture, but a functional cutting file! I'd definitely recommend that you give it a try!

I've used Design & Make a couple of times and their designs are generally okay, and the files are clean, but it really depends on what you pick, some of the more complex stuff can be tricky if you don't have the right setup. Overall, I'd say they're a step up from MakeCNC in terms of consistency and support
