Picked up a new Opt Laser module and figured I'd wire it up myself. Let's just say that plan hit a wall fast. I don't know what these wiring symbols mean and I've never touched electronics like this before. Tried to repurpose my old power supply since it worked before I upgraded my controller. If you've got advice, pretend you're explaining it to your Uncle who still prints out directions from MapQuest.

Start simple: red wire's usually power, black is ground, match voltages exactly and look up your laser's wiring diagram, you can use a multimeter and don't skip a fuse...seriously, safety first!

Why not start with the exact model numbers of your laser and power supply so folks can walk you through wiring step-by-step without guessing what setup you're working with?

This is the kind of hand holding I need right now. I've got the PLH3D-XT8 and an old 24V PSU that used to run my Ortur setup but I haven't checked if it's pushing enough amps for this new module. I'll grab the multimeter and see what's what and yeah, I'll add a fuse before I fry something I can't pronounce.
