Laser engraving pens

I've had an X-Carve for quite some time now and I just picked up a 3D printer. The other day, my old man who makes pens asked about getting a laser engraver to personalize them.. Since the pens are cylindrical, Im looking for a laser with a rotary axis. Something in the ranege of $2,000 - $3,000, either standalone or something I can integrate with the X-Carve. Recommendations please..

OMTech CO2 Lasers or the Flux Beamo, the Flux one is smaller in size, quite pricey but it's user friendly
